A Pleasant Surprise

Sometimes, or might I say in a rare moment, you can surprise your children with something totally unexpected that blows them away. Last night our son, David, came upstairs and said his printer wasn't working right and he sure wished he had a wireless printer. He started to go into the 20 million reason speech of why it would be so better for our whole household. Then he said he was going to look online to price them. Well, isn't that kids--always trying to spend our money?

On Tax Free Day I had been computer shopping with a friend and got a really good deal on a wireless printer and had planned to give it to him the first day of school. Now was the perfect time. I retrieved it from its hiding place, and my husband went to coax him out of his room. Was he ever surprised!

I guess Mom and Dad won this one!
