When I read this book, “How to be a good Mommy when you’re sick; A guide to motherhood with chronic illness” I thought of all the moms out there who might be encouraged, enlightened, and empowered if I interviewed Emily Graves, its author. Here she was, a mom with a small child, never knowing from one day to the next how much energy she would have, how she would feel, and unable to predict what of her schedule she could accomplish that day. She gives very solid tips in this book in each chapter, following 5 premises. As I read further, I realized, how helpful this book could be to any mother, and how others could gain a clearer understanding of the dilemmas those of us with disabilities often face.
Listen as she passes along the wisdom she gained from her experience to other moms looking to stay organized in the midst of challenging circumstances.
